Amee Kelley Formal Outline Title: Adoptees access to medical history Specific purpose: To persuade the audience that adopted children should have access to their medical histories. Thesis: Adopted children should have access to their biological parents health records. Introduction A. Atten. Getter: Do any of you know what the significance of this month? For many Americans it is a vital month for them. It is National Adoption Awareness Month. B. Sig. Of Topic: It is important that all adopted people should have access to their medical history because they need to know what diseases they may have or that they could pass on to their children one day. Also adoptive parents need to know this information so that they know if their children are at risks for anything. C. Preview of Points: Today I will be informing you about the differences between adoptions, a story of one adoptive woman’s life, and ways that we can regulate this information. Transition : Let’s first look at what kinds of adoptions there are.
