Andrew Fausett 9-5-07 Technology Essay English 1101 A When I was about thirteen years old, I began playing a game called Red Alert. It was a competitive game in which top players would receive prizes in the forms as money, collectables and best of all, bragging rights. My idea came one day to build a website where all the players could come for all their needs, such as tournament updates, downloads, a cheaters list, even a place to socialize with each other. The website even came equipped with a message board which quickly became very active. Players from all over the world began using it and before long, I was getting several hundred page hits a day. The message board was by far the most popular part of the site. The board was used for several different topics of chat. The first, and most popular, was arguments over who the top players in the game were. These conversations usually were heated and sometimes even angry. The second favorite topic tended to be about cheaters. These topics were usually never proven, however, if a player
