Individual Research Project: Proposal2IntroductionMost companies here and there are faced with some sort of crisis. These crises can bebecause of many reasons like financial, competition, innovation, bad leadership, and technology,etc. Technology upgrade is of huge concern these days. There are various companies that didn’trun in this race of technology and failed miserably. To name a few, Blockbuster, Xerox,Blackberry, Yahoo, and MySpace. Currently, Boeing is also faced with these technical crises.Boeing Canada was founded in 1916 and completed 100 centennial years in 2016(Boeing Canada , 2019). Boeing is a known name in the aircraft market. The company is knownfor maintenance-planning software applications and manufacturer of commercial and defenseairplanes. Boeing operates in major Canadian cities like Richmond, Vancouver, Winnipeg,Ottawa, and Montreal, however, have customers in over 150 countries in the world (Boeing ,n.d.). Furthermore,it employs 1600 people in Canada only. As a major part of the aircraftindustry, Boeing always invests in innovation and technology upgrades. “Recent examples ofinnovation include the first flights of the 737 MAX 9, 787-10, and T-X, among other milestonessuch as the launch of Boeing AnalytX and Boeing HorizonX” (Boeing , n.d.). This report willexamine the company’s leadership structure, location, and important people. Moreover, thisstudy will explain the organization's main business and how it correlates with the context of thecourse(management of technology and innovation). Additionally, this case study will alsoinvestigate all the challenges met by Boeing in the last few years and how the company lost itstitle of the world's largest aerospace company.Organizational DescriptionGovernance structure:Boeing was established in 1916, however, it wasn’t a public company until 1978.
