California state standard 11.5 Students analyze the major political, social, economic, technological, and cultural developments of the 1920s (California Department of Education). California’s literacy standard Cite specific textual evidence to support analysis of primary and secondary sources, connecting insights gained from specific details to an understanding of the text as a whole (California Department of Education, 2013).Unit Description and RationaleThis lesson will give students an opportunity to example the complex concept of the social, economic, technological, and all the cultural development during the 1920’s, the students will now be able to explain what was done to help shape the future of the United States for the next 100 years. Every country in the world developed a lot during these times but the students will learn what made the United States of America a thriving country during the Roaring Twenties.Learning OpportunitiesTwo learning opportunities the students will have are reading and writing. When reading to complete research for this assignment, students will be able to enhance brain activity, improve their vocabulary, develop critical thinking, and the ability to understand others better (Australian Christian College, 2019).
