We then connected the power supply to points P 4 and P 5 , and the electrometer to points P 3 and P 4 . We then disconnected the power supply, and connected the switch S 1 to P 2 , simultaneously starting the timer. We obtained the value of V R at a number of different time intervals. I tabulated the data obtained in the following chart.
