Unformatted text preview: Emotional Intelligence is what helps you decide your thoughts and actions based upon your own and other’s feelings and emotions, and it’s very important in everyday life. It plays a bigger part in a person’s IQ score than people would think. Different studies have been done involving emotional intelligence; concluding that being able to understand and hold in your emotions and manage stress properly is very important to succeed. Also, a person’s emotional intelligence impacts whether or not they are positive about life or negative. Optimists tend to succeed better in the workplace, while pessimists don’t achieve as much. Being able to feel and truly understand other people’s fears, concerns and uncertainties is called Empathy, and plays a big part in emotional intelligence.
