She was being guarded by UN troops, but theywere instructed to avoid armed conflict.-Belgian troops were taken hostage so force the UN to leave.-The clinton administration evacuated 257 USA citizens-A few chose to stay behind but were eventually ordered to leave the country-USA didn’t want to mess up after recent failure in Mogadishu (Somalia)-non-UN aid appeared in airports to save the Europeans in the country-Didn’t save any of the Rwandan people...nice-Church full of Tutsi corpses (men, women, and children) were killed using machetes,blood running in the streets-April 8-French and Belgain Troops arrive to evacuate people from Rwanda. But had theinstructions to only save white people. Black Rwandas were left to be killed.
