Now, religion is something we look for when we are in need of guidance and answers to our problems rather than for pure belief and dedication to learning, becoming “enlightened” of a particular practice or to hold individual values, which are important to ones existence. Numerous variables contribute to the increasing amount of people who fall under this category across the world, especially in America. What it ultimately comes down to is the influence of religion through children’s parents and what personal experiences are observed at an early age.. Whether the influence of religion on ones children is too great or too little, there are issues associated with the passing on of religious beliefs occurring in todays world. The first issue I would consider most important that comes to mind involving religion, especially in the youth is the lack of teaching the importance of religion as a whole.
