1 RESEARCH PAPERS A research paper should be approximately 20 pages in length, double-spaced. The paper would typically not exceed 30 pages, excluding appended graphs, figures, etc. Page length also does not include your bibliography of works cited. Do not use a title page. Do center the title of your paper on the first page. Do use headings and subheadings to organize the paper, using at least the following headings used (in caps): SUMMARY Assume the reader already has an elementary understanding of the topic – Identify the central insights your analysis provides. INTRODUCTION Begin with a statement of the purpose of the paper. Describe the topic or theme, the central question you are addressing, etc. Introduce a context and framework to organize the exploration and discussion that will ensue. DISCUSSION THEME(S) / SECTION AND SUBHEADINGS . Use as many as needed. Each of the research questions or discussion points would constitute a theme – label each and use subheadings to separate these points of discussion. CONCLUSION Basically presents the result of your research and analysis. What did you find?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
