Having a plan in place to address the barriers prior to implementation allows for quicker response. Since my change project weighs heavily on interdisciplinary collaboration, detailed education and training are a must. Potential barriers to implementation are: The lack or delayed support needed from management to ensure adequate hands-on education and training. Nurse pushback, lack of charting needed for data tracking. Patient consent to participation Strategic Plan Initially, it is vital to present all EBP and research to management. A detailed plan is needed to gain support. Support creates a positive influence on the unit and is needed to proceed. I believe this implementation requires more education than a power-point or
