Name: Joseph Youkhanna CHM2230 : Section 11 Title: Dehydration of an Alcohol Date: January 24 th , 2007 Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to perform the dehydration of an alcohol, and to isolate the reaction products by distillation. We will also perform Gas Chromatography (GC) to analyze the reaction mixture. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
