Final Project: Design the Study This is a group project. Everyone in the group is responsible to help create and edit each document associated with the Final Project. I would suggest creating a google document in which every member can add to and edit the document. Your project must be approved by your teacher before you can collect any data. List the names of your group members. Each person listed here is responsible for this project, both academically and legally. Cole Bruneel Chloe Palmer Princess Ruskin Angeles La Fuente Rodriguez Adam Graham Each Step listed below will need a Group Leader. The Group Leader is the main writer and the person responsible to manage the creation of the document. The Group Leader will be the one who will upload the document on behalf of the group to the Assignment Folder prior to the due date. The Group Leader should facilitate the group’s discussion, develop the overall document, delegate assignments, as needed, to gather the information required to create the document, make sure every member in the group has the ability to add/edit the document, and make a final read of the document for completion prior to uploading it. FILL IN THE NAME OF GROUP MEMBER WHO WILL BE THE MAIN WRITER AND BE RESPONSIBLE TO UPLOAD THE DOCUMENT ON BEHALF OF THE GROUP STEP Description Name of Main Writer/Group Leader Step 1 Design the Study Cole Bruneel Step 2 Collect and Describe the Data Step 3 Make Inference/Take Action Step 4 PowerPoint Presentation Step 5 Evaluation EVERYONE must submit
NOTE: Only one person (the Group Leader) needs to upload Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, and Step 4. Everyone needs to upload Step 5 Design the Study You are to create your own research question based on the interest of the group. Here is a list of a few examples of previous studies to give you possible ideas. This list is not an exhaustive list. Please be creative in forming your research question. Are there 1000 chips in every bag of Chips Ahoy? Are Brand A paper towels stronger than Brand B? Is there a difference in the prices of books at the BYU-Idaho Bookstore compared to those available online? Are men or women more likely to walk on the grass if they are walking behind someone who walks on the grass? 1. What is your research question? State your research question in plain English …something like: We are trying to determine if the average fruit fly prefers a rotting orange or an edible orange.
