Gender Identity- An awareness and projection of being male or female based on biological and social factors 3.) Transgender- When a person’s sense of gender identity does not match their external appearance or even the sex chromosomes that determine whether they are male or female 4.) Sexism- A set of beliefs, norms, and values that justify sexual inequality and male dominance 5.) Sexual Orientation- A person’s sexual attraction and affection for members of either the opposite or same sex 6.) Nuclear Family- This family type is one in which you were born into, characterized by parents and children only 7.) Extended Family- Consists of two or more adult generations of the same family whose members share economic resources and live-in common household 8.) Patriarchy- This term refers to ‘male dominated’ households
9.) Neolocal Residence- Is a type of post-marital residence in which a newly married couple resides separately from both the husband’s natal household and the wife’s natal ho usehold and live together in a new residence 10.) Exogamy- The practice of marrying outside one’s race, age, social class, etc.; basically, marrying outside your ‘own group’ Short Answers: Clearly and concisely respond to the following questions.
