In 1994 there was a young man who was following the rise of the internet and saw anopportunity that not many others saw on the horizons. His name was Jeff Bezos and hepredicted there would be a large growth of over 2000%(GreyB, 2018). So he decided to try hisluck with an online book store and he had a feeling that his books would really take off online. When he established his headquarters he decided to do it in Seattle, Washington. A few yearslater in 1997 he took the company public and raised $54 million which made the company'smarket value $438 million (Wilhelm, 2017). He decided to split up the company into threemajor areas, prime, marketplace, and Amazon web services. These are also referred to as thethree pillars of the business (Kim, 2017). They may have started off solely selling books ontheir website, but when Jeff saw the opportunity to branch out and start getting into otherfields such as logistics, media, cloud computing, entertainment and selling everything you canthink of they quickly rose in value resulting in becoming a trillion dollar company (GreyB,2018). The heart of Amazon's business though is definitely their online ecommerce store. Thisis the foundation of what Amazon is and it allows them to try new things such as thepreviously mentioned Amazon Web services, Amazon prime and Amazon advertisingservices. This has also become more lucrative than their own online store as well (Cuofana,n.d).One of the most vital parts of every business is communication. Having an open line ofcommunication will allow your company to be ready for the inevitable cyber threats that arecontinuing to evolve.Whenever anything happens, it is crucial that it gets communicated to
the staff immediately and that staff will need to implement proper training and educationtactics to help prevent employees from falling for phishing attacks or opening malicious linksin emails. You cannot ignore communication when you have to deal with cybersecurity.Because of how it is ever evolving and at a rapid rate, you need to communicate properly tohave success with your information security (Gallego(2018). You must also worry aboutpotential espionage cases at work, so companies should also look into having monitoringsystems such as Ekran System. It is an important key to every company to have anti-malware, antivirus and antispyware software for their own security. A GREAT OPTION FOR Abusiness to help protect from malware is Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection and Response(Malwarebytes, n.d.). For spyware prevention, you could utilize Enterprise Endpoint Securitywhich has the ability to detect the potential spyware but it also will isolate it to the client andnot allow it to spread (Chapple, 2004).As for anti-virus, there are so many options out therebut one of the more well known options is McAfee Complete Endpoint Protection Business
