Hello Class, According to findings, transference best describes a situation in where a person, in most cases, the client, redirect feelings, expectations, and desires, often time unconsciously, to another person, the clinician (GoodTherapy, 2019). Furthermore, “T his process may occur in therapy, when a person receiving treatment applies feelings toward—or expectations of—another person onto the therapist and then begins to interact with the therapist as if the therapist were the other individual. Often, the patterns seen in transference will be representative of a relationship from childhood” (GoodTherapy, 2019). In other instances, the clinician might be dealing with a client that they feel they need to save them from whatever it is they are being exposed to. It is important for the clinician to address these thoughts, or feelings with someone that can assist them in making proper decisions on which route to take. Personally,
