From my understanding of the text and the question, it seems to me that Nathan was right because he reported to David all the words of God’s entire revelation. However, in Nathan tell David that it is a first a good plan to build a house, but later repeals the Lord’s permission. The idea of prophecy means to predict the future; however, back then they were telling the story. The house of David? The Lord, himself will build a house for David. When David goes to heaven, God will raise his children and establish his kingdom. God will become the father of the children and take on the parent role of both punishing and loving the offspring. The house and kingdom of David will the parent role of both punishing and loving the offspring....
