Lyrica Garguilo HIS 200 Writing Plan Check #3 I choose to talk about the Women’s Suffrage Movement along with the Nineteenth Amendment. The Woman Suffrage Movement was a long fight that took about 100 years for them to win. The main goals were for them to get equal access to education and employment, equality within marriage and have the right to vote. The event is historical because if it wasn’t for that movement today women would still be looked at as less than a man and we would still be unable to vote and voice our opinion. The first source I found is an academic journal by Loveday (2017) titled “Women’s Suffrage & the Nineteenth Amendment”. This source displays an overview of women’s suffrage movement in the US and the leading to the passage of the nineteenth amendment. This source also goes over prominent figures in the early women’s right movement and the efforts women made to push for suffrage legislation. This is relevant because it timelines and discusses how women’s suffrage and led to the ratification of the nineteenth amendment. The second
