Taylor McGuirt English September 14, 2020Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter To speak, or not to speak? This question is a powerful one in today’s world and has been addressed by multiple universities around the country. Today we will be comparing Professor Geofree stone, the Edward H. Levi Distinguished Service Professor of Law at the university of Chicago law school, speech to the article written byChristina Paxson, president of Brown University. Both reads contain minor differences in writing styles, however, are similar in the same common goal. I will be addressing just how each article expresses the same common goal in its own unique way. Professor stone has a wide audience of chairmen, students, and even other campuses all have heard what Stone has said. His approach is highly formal and even uses highly educated words to convey his points. He states his own opinion and even gives the sense of persuasion
