IntroductionHow people behave, perceive or react either positively or negatively may be as a result of differentfactors: Stereotype, prejudice, discrimination, selective perception, projection, halo effect, tokenism,intersectionality, and so on. These factors not only influence the way we view ourselves concerningour environment, but it also affects our communication among other people. For this write-up, Iwould be focusing on how attitude, perceptions, and behavior are affected positively or negatively byprejudice, discrimination, and selective perception in a personal and organizational context, backing itup with the latest available research.Brief Explanation of Prejudice, Discrimination, and Selective PerceptionPrejudice and discrimination are one of the major causes of conflicts and strive betweenpeople, tribes, races, and countries. Generally, being human brought us together but we are divided byour tribes or ethnicity, race, countries, religious beliefs, culture, traditions, sexual orientation, gender,and several other factors. The inability to accept the differences in our society gave birth todiscrimination and prejudice.
