Brandon Baker EN210 March 26, 2008 Manifesto I believe in peace. Not society’s idea of peace where everybody just gets along and loves each other for no good reason. I believe in a world where people can look at another person and understand where they come from and stand in their shoes for a minute and just get it. You don’t have to be friends with everyone you meet or even be nice to them, just don’t be so quick to judge and form opinions without getting to know the other person. I refuse to stand up here and say that I believe in a world without rape, murder, robberies, or any other form of malicious behavior because that type of hope is unreachable until people change. I must change. You must change. Everyone on the face

Unformatted text preview: of the Earth must change the way they think and just give this idea of peace a chance. When I think of peace, I think of one of my favorite quotes of all time. It comes from a brilliant musician and song writer, from one of my favorite bands of all time, The Beatles, Mr. John Lennon. He had many things to say about peace, happiness, and love and many ways to go about achieving those things but there is one thing he said that elevates above all the rest. “You are all geniuses, and you are all beautiful. You don't need anyone to tell you who you are. You are what you are. Get out there and get peace, think peace, live peace, and breathe peace, and you'll get it as soon as you like.” So, in conclusion, I believe in peace....
