The idea is thateach entity in the ecosystemaffects and is affected by the others, creating a constantlyevolving relationship in which each entity must be flexible and adaptable in order tosurvive.The business ecosystem is very dynamic hence new challenges and developments canaffect the existing organisations. Examples include:๏Artificial intelligence and Robotics – Companies retrenching employees as a result๏Netflix – Replacing Cinema and DSTV๏Uber – Replacing taxis and buses๏VOIP- Putting traditional phone companies out of businessEvery organisation in the ecosystem affects and is affected by other organisations. Entitiesthat are flexible, adaptable and able to manage relationships with key stakeholders(customers, suppliers, distributors) strategically to ensure sustainability and evolution withthe changing ecosystem have high chances of surviving disruptions.
