Fossil Fueles(3) The devastating effects of fossil fuels.(A) Jorge Daniel Tillant, in his 2015 published book, "Glaciers: The Politics of Ice" confirms that due to the greenhouse effect, glaciers the size of mountains in Antarctica are quickly melting, hence, adding on to the volume and to the mass of the ocean putting coastal regions in danger of mass flud's (Glaciers: The Politics of Ice, 2015). (B) Not only are the oceans being affected, but one of our biggest sources of oxygen is being affected as well, the amazons. Did you know that the rainforests and the amazonsprovide us with 260 pounds of oxygen per year, in much simpler words, the rainforests and the amazons are basically the lungs of the earth. Rainforests demand a perfect temperature but instead are receiving the extra sun rays that are trapped within our atmosphere, consequently, allowing them to slowly decay. By that same logic, our food crops, as well, are being affected by unbearable loads of heat.
