Lab – Managing Virtual Memory in Windows 7 and Vista f. The warning message displays: You must restart your computer to apply these changes . Click Restart Now . Reflection Why would you ever change the default virtual memory page file settings in Windows? With a default installation, windows creates the virtual memory page file in the root folder on the same drive, which the systems files are stored. Over time, this drive may run out of the space, which would cause system problems. You could free up space on that drive by moving the virtual memory page file to a different drive. Another reason you may want to move the virtual memory page file is that possibly you have added a faster drive, an SSD for example, and you want to move your virtual memory page file to that drive in an attempt to speed up Window response times. © 2019 Cisco and/or its affiliates. As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
