now known as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), and it is the world’s 7 th  largest automaker with  annual output of 4.5 million cars.   The case of Fiat and Chrysler is very interesting to me as most mergers and acquisitions  are painted in such a negative light.  Before reading this case and the corresponding chapter, I  believed achieving success after acquisitions was incredibly difficult and only a few select firms  could avoid failure.  However, after understanding how Fiat and Chrysler were able to  strategically work together and provide each other with complementary resources and  capabilities, I better understand what it takes to make acquisitions successful.  Most companies  usually engage in full acquisitions and overlook the opportunity of learning how to work together as an alliance.  Without learning how to work together, the acquiring company undertakes the  benefits and flaws of the company being acquired “as is” instead of strategically assessing and  leveraging that companies’ resources and capabilities, as Fiat did with Chrysler.  Chapter 12

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
