Do you think the descriptive details of the first half of par. 17 are a good/effective way to lead into the event’s significance? Why/why not? - I think this is an effective way to lead into the event because all the black (Women, Men, Babies) under Joe life.If he lost it would be the end of their live, and they will be back to slavery again. Is the aftermath of the event important? What is added to the essay by its inclusion? (In other words, are these insightful details?) - Yes, this way they will know their rights and have peace; it would also be the live they wished for. How long does the event (which the essay is about) last? - I think it will last as long as it could be. This is history and if you look back and see how much life changed from the past until know, This will make you think of how would life be if all this didn’t change.
