other grouped it was concurred that the sample took longer to return to clear when placed in ice than when it had been placed in heat. The liquid in the vial changed color due to the agitating motion which triggered a reaction. If the sample was not shaken or stirred it would remain at clear. The group’s hypothesis was that the time it took for the sample to return to clear depended on how hard and how long the sample had been disturbed; also we made a connection between the time it took to return to clear and the temperature under which the sample went. If a new experiment was to be conducted the vial would be placed at different temperatures between freezing and boiling to observe the affect the cold or hot condition has on the time it takes for the sample to go back to clear. Conclusion: Although there were not specific steps to follow in this laboratory, the students understood how to interpret data and think further into why certain reactions happened. Through the process of experiment with different conditions and the affect it had on the sample the group determined a more systematic experiment that yielded data that supported their initial theory. As expected the sample did change at a faster rate when it was placed in hot temperatures regardless if it had been exposed to other conditions before. Opposite to that when the sample was placed in cold temperature the reaction was slower and it took longer for the liquid to go back to clear.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
