will be of little concern in the future. The study gave sufficient information to allow for a thorough critique of the five dimensions of research, (Polit et al. 2011). The difficult part was critiquing the sections appropriately having a limited knowledge base. Finally I will provide my conclusion of the overall paper. Conclusion The overall impression of this article is that it is informative and well written. As with any research there can be critiques made for improvements as well as what was really well done. Not every person looking at a study will have the same opinion, however the research needs to be thorough, up to date, well written and unbiased to be of use in evidence-based practice. The use of this article for evidenced based practice would be helpful for the nurses working in cystic fibrosis clinics. It would allow as a learning tool, it may allow for strategies to be implemented to assist the siblings of children with Cystic Fibrosis and potentially seek out the ones most at risk. In this paper I critiqued the research study by using the five dimensions of research. It is important to be able to look at research report with a critical eye, to be able to take in the information you are reading and assess whether or not it is valid and factual. As a nurse I need to be sure the information I am reading will be safe and credible to use in my practice. I cannot take any information and decide to use it if it cannot be proven to be credible.
