To implement the strategy of patient/family to participate in the quality and safety rounding, it requires a financial proposition. The budget to educate and train the staff would roughly cost $2000. This cost would also apply to engaging the community via flyers, social media, radio station, and the simulation lab. The training would involve a team of health professionals to teach and provide education and training on effective communication in the healthcare facility basically, how to communicate to patients/family, culture awareness, etc. 3. Discuss the methods you will use to evaluate the effectiveness of your strategy. To ensure the success in the strategy plan of implementing the process of involving the patient/family to participate in the quality and safety rounding, the Rogers change theory previously mentioned would be utilized. The methods used to evaluate my strategy would include daily discussion during the Leader Daily Safety Brief (LDSB). The LDSB is conducted every morning during the organization’s quality and safety huddle which consists of the Hospital Commander, Deputy Commander of Clinical Services, Deputy Commander of Nursing, Deputy Commander of Administration, Deputy Commander of Quality & Safety and other key stakeholders for the organization. At this meeting, all concerning quality and safety matters would be brought forth to either mitigate or come with a solution to remediate the problem. Applying anonymous surveys for the patient/family and staff to provide feedback of the process would also be utilized. The patient advocate would then provide the feedback via the Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) Comment system to all section chief to provide a remediation plan for improvement of impacted area.
