Why is Science so effective? Because people are not as rational as they think they are (sociology tells us about biases, for instance confirmation bias and self-serving bias lead to misinterpretation and misrepresentation of reality) In the absence of science we pursue the wrong solutions to the right problems or even just mis-identify problems. And if we do not, then that’s just by chance. For instance, prayers do not kill disease causing bacteria but antibiotics do.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
