o Other ones in slides Related to the point above, know which one leads to the most effective conditioning. o Which one of the above leads to it, delayed which is a type of forward conditioning I am going to provide you a scenario where a researcher is trying to condition a person but fails to do so. You will need to identify why conditioning failed to occur. Things you need to keep in mind: (a) the importance of ISIs in conditioning; (b) the importance of ITIs in conditioning; (c) the role of contingency in conditioning; (d) the type of conditioning paradigm being used o Why does the person fail to show a conditioned response o Taste aversion- long time between CS and US o ISI- how much time passes within trials

o ITI- how much time passes between trials I am going to give you four questions about the different conditioning phenomena we covered in class, such as overshadowing, blocking, sensory preconditioning, and latent inhibition. You really need to understand what is happening during each phenomenon. o Four questions- one on each Higher Order Conditioning and Extinction I am going to give you 3 scenarios. You will have to tell me if these scenarios are an example of higher order conditioning, extinction, spontaneous recovery, or renewal . o 3 rd may be about SR or renewal but first two is HOC and second is the extinction. Theories of Pavlovian Conditioning Understand what Pavlov would predict during a conditioning experiment.
