When kids don’t feel the love at home or from their parents they tend to look in the wrong places or people. EffectsJuvenile delinquency is a big problem in the United states. “With 2 million juveniles arrested and over 60 000 detained annually, the United States incarcerates a large proportion of youths than any other developed country,”[Bar15]. A lot of people do not realize the effects of juvenile delinquency. It not only affects the troubled youth, but it also affects their parents and families. Being a juvenile delinquent has different consequences. For one, they can lose their freedom and possibly end up in a detention center depending on what they did. Delinquents may even be placed with a probation officer and must check in with their P.O. from time to time. Getting arrested can also encourage future delinquent acts.
