I think that by having a common classification system globally of labeling chemicals has aided in not only in dealing with the hazards of chemicals but has increased an awareness of the potential dangers of materials used in the workplace. The only drawbacks that I can come up with would be maybe the language barrier and the transition of a system that may seem lengthy in nature because every chemical has to be properly tagged which, in the real world, we know this creates more paperwork to an extent to be in compliance.
