September 2007 Mandate Pictures Acquisition Return entrepreneurial executive Joe Drake to Lionsgate. Also to continue growth of entertainment library, grow ability to secure international rights to films by other studios, and build upon Mandate’s success. The acquisition created a third-party profit center both internationally and domestically. April 2008 EPIX Alliance (joint Venture) with Viacom, Paramount Pictures, and MGM Together this joint venture creates a next generation multiplatform premium channel for video on demand and online service. Also EPIX entered an agreement with Netlix. January 2009 TV Guide Network Alliance (joint venture) with Saban Capital Group (SBG) Allowed Lionsgate to operate a unique, rich, multi-platform viewing experience to its customers. April 2010 Tiger Gate Partnership with SCG This agreement allowed Lionsgate to enter new geographic areas including Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and other Asian territories by operating pay television channels and acting as an originator/distributor of action and horror programming and films. July 2010 Pantelion Films Alliance (joint venture) with Grupo Televisa Allowed Lionsgate to target a minority, but growing, moviegoer demographic, the Hispanics. Agreement will produce 8- 10 films per year, as well as distribute a steady stream of films.
