Immediately she was upset, once I explained to her what had transpired between the principle and I she was furious. She instantly went to the school, the first thing she stated was why would a principle even encourage a student to quit school. I was done and already in my rebellious stage and wanted nothing to do with school. As I had gotten older I still managed to get decent jobs, but I would often lie on my applications in hopes that they do not checkup on whether I had a G.E.D or a diploma, but I felt so incomplete the older I got like not having my G.E.D was like the feeling of a monkey on my back that I cannot shake. Off and on throughout the years I struggled trying to pass the G.E.D exam because I had been out of school so long, and I never lasted taking the actual G.E.D classes. Eventually I would end up missing days then not going at all. I became a certified CAN by 2003, and to be young and have the opportunity to gain my certificate for a certified nurse’s aide with no diploma or G.E.D mind you, However I felt blessed. I then relied on being a certified nurse’s aide for many years until I started feeling as if this type of work was no longer for me because I wanted more and to move up the ladder

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
