The goal by year two in the nursing department is to implement teachings to staff regarding the importance of increasing patient satisfaction scores. The goal by year three in the nursing department is to reinforce training and to review changes to determine if the organization improved. The goal by year one in the ED is to review current practices for patients leaving the ED without being seen and developing a policy for lowering this number. The goal by year two in the ED is to implement teaching regarding the importance of not allowing patients to leave without being seen and implementing the policy to prevent this. The goal by year three in the ED is to reinforce training and determine if the organization improved the number of patients who come to the ED without being seen. Key Points for Plan that are Critical for Staff to Understand The key points of the plan that are critical for the staff to understand and embrace in the ICU are the benefits of daily perineal care to prevent CAUTI infections and that the lowering of CAUTI infections in the ICU will increase VBP funding and improve patient satisfaction scores. The key points of the plan that are critical for the staff to understand and embrace in the nursing staff are that improving patient satisfaction will improve hospital funding and the importance of using evidence-based care in order to give patient’s the best care possible. The key points of the plan that are critical for the staff to understand and embrace in the ED are stressing the importance of not allowing patients to leave the ED without being seen because it can lead to patient harm and how improving the number of patients who leave the ED without being seen will improve the hospital funding as well as patient satisfaction scores.

6 FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES How to Market Key Points to Staff Members I would market the key points of the plan to staff members by posting flyers with all pertinent information in the break room, locker room, and around each unit. Another way I would market the key points is by sending out an email to all staff regarding the changes and their importance. Finally, I would use daily huddles to share information regarding the plan directly with employees, allowing them to ask questions. To market the key points specifically to the ICU, flyers will be posted in the ICU break room along with a message on the break room television. The information will also be presented at the ICU unit practice council meetings.
