The area of qualification should be noted at significant as the study focuses on play therapy. Having both pediatric nurse and community health nurse professionals lend knowledge and clinical experience in the area of study, as well as Professor Ocakci’s expertise with the nursing process. The article did not indicate that there were previous studies by the authors performed. b) The title states that it is a prospective randomized controlled study. This indicates that an experiment was performed in a controlled environment to measure the outcomes of the research. The variable is the use of play therapy within the nursing process. However, while the abstract does indicate the population is pre-school children, the population is not stated within the title of the article. c) The abstract is well written with clear definitions of the purpose, design, methods, findings, conclusions and clinical relevance. The abstract indicates the purpose of the study is to evaluate pre-school children for social, emotional and behavioral skills through the use of play therapy using the nursing process. The design, a single- blind, prospective, randomized controlled study indicates that the participants (pre-school children) were unaware of the implementation. This may minimize the Hawthorne affect, although the parents were aware of the study as they provided informed consent on behalf of the children. The sample indicates that the participants were 4- to 5-year -old kindergarten children that had no learning disabilities. However, the abstract does not provide a sample size. The researchers utilized the Pre- school Child and Family Identification Form and the Social Competence and the Behavior Evaluation Scale to evaluate the participants and gather data. The

The findings indicate that there was a significant decrease in Anger-Aggression, Social Competence and Anxiety-Withdrawal in the experimental group, whereas the scores prior to the study were relatively equal.
