for his watch. Knowing he loved his watch she thought it was the best present to give him. But the
husband sold his watch to buy her a beautiful comb for her long hair, she loved. In the story "A Worn
Path" the conflict was for the older woman having to go through all the set backs to get her grandson his
medicine. She was not in the right heath to walk for miles and to do it in the rain and having to get through
fences and animals. But she made it, only thinking about how her grandson needed his medicine.
