2018). The cons to this program are it is not available after 3 pm and it is not available on weekends. I am glad I did this interview with a pharmacist at Jewish hospital. I was familiar with theMeds-to-Beds program with the nurse's standpoint, but not the pharmacist side. I am glad I gained more knowledge on this. I also learned about the time it takes when a prescription is first prescribed by the doctor to the time it takes for the nurse to dispense. Pharmacists play a big part in the care of a patient. I know during my shift I talk to a pharmacist at least 4 times. They are great at answering any questions about medication interactions. They also ask us questions for the patients. If I patient has numerous medications the pharmacist is a great resource for the patient. Overall, I enjoyed doing this assignment and it made me more aware of the pharmacist role in health promotion.
