3. What can be learned from this case? a. One of the biggest things that can be taken away from this case is how to manage people. It gives you a real world example of how people want to be treated. They want to be trusted that they can accomplish the work that they have been assigned, and they do not want to be micromanaged. The management style MBWA can be a tricky one to be successful with because there is a fine line between being friendly with workers, and being bothersome and a distraction from their work. Many workers enjoy having the occasional conversation with a person, but many would rather stick to their work and not be bothered. This is where getting to know your people is very beneficial. Knowing your worker’s preferences and work styles is critical to running a successful MBWA style because people are different and get things done in different ways. Managing and leading people can be a difficult process sometimes, but if you put in the time and effort to getting to know your people then you will be much more successful in the long run.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
