Why was the idea of having possessions difficult for Saroo to get used to? Consider the abundance of things to eat. Why would that be overwhelming to Saroo? Saroo didn't have really anything growing up, so when he actually had toys to play with he was worried that they would be taken away from him, it took him awhile to realize that wasn't the case. Reading what we have read so far and if you happen to see the movie it really gives you an image of just how poor he was. In his village he would have to go out and try and find food everyday, and would go hungry some days. So the fact that he doesn't have to go any further than to the kitchen to find food is a big culture shock for him. 4. Was there ever something happening in your life that you kept quiet about at first, or hid from your family? If so, please briefly describe that situation and relate your reason for keeping quiet. Why didn’t Saroo tell his parents about his search? When I was I my abusive relationship I kept it a secret from my mom at first because I didn't know that, that wasn't really okay at the time and I was worried I was just over reacting. I also didn't tell her to the full extent what happened until a little while after because I didn't want her t be disappointed. This is what I think Saroo felt. He didn't tell his parents because he knows they did so much for him, that he didn't want them to think that he loved them any less and that he didn't appreciate the life they gave him..

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
