4. Write a paragraph in your own words, about your understanding of SDS and emergency review. Manufacturers, distributors and importers are required to provide Material safety data sheets (MSDS or SDS) by law. The information provided in the report details many key points. The main point is to communicate hazards of the possible hazardous chemicals in these products. Many pertinent details allocate the SDS such as identification of the source of the product, hazards, ingredients, first aid and fire-fighting measures, accidental release measures, handling/storage and personal protection. The SDS also list the products’ chemical and physical properties, along with the stability, reactivity and toxicological information. A few more ecological points detailed are disposal, transport and other regulatory information. The SDS should be readily available to employees of the company and to all their customers. These sheets are imperative to minimize hazardous and harmful situations and for anyone handling or helping to alleviate the harmful situation. 5.
