It discusses arguments against, and for animal agriculture. I can honestly say that I am not vegetarian. However, I can say that I have tried to become one. The process of trying to become vegetarian was very difficult for me. The reason for this was because throughout the time I felt very weak. I always felt hungry, so I probably wasn’t eating a proper diet. Due to feeling weak I discontinued being a vegetarian, and started to eat meats again. However, even though I consume meats I still feel animal agriculture is wrong. I always feel guilty whenever I eat meat. One of the arguments against animal agriculture in the chapter stated, “Raising animals just to kill them violates their rights as sentient creatures”. This is a statement that really gained my attention, because I feel it is so true. How could you watch an animal grow, and then send it to a slaughterhouse to become someone’s meal?
