understand a mathematics concept. Mathematics is so complex and that makes it complicated. Just by thinking that there is an infinite amount of numbers, makes us think that there are an indefinite amounts of math problems. I am sure that many methods exist, yet to be discovered. I always tried to find a way to help my classmates understand a concept better, and I want to do that for my future classroom as well. I believe that teachers must impart confidence to student in a classroom. One way to do that is to always encourage students and tell them that they can do it. As teachers we should never lose hope in students; they should always perceive a positive attitude in us. One way to reduce anxiety in a classroom is to provide a step-by-step approach in every single lesson being taught. When students are taught concepts in a thorough way, they tend to have a better understanding of problems that are reviewed. Writing each step on the board helps each student learn the problem-solving process. Every teacher should also strengthen basic skills to further process with the learning of more complex concepts. For example, if the student has

problems with multiplication, it is very likely that they will not understand division. Therefore, basic skills should be established in a strong manner and then everything else will be more digestible. I believe that doing everything stated above will help each student develop confidence when they are in a math lesson. Teachers must show confidence, imply step-by-step lessons and should also have a positive attitude with each student so they can feel capable of succeeding in the classroom. Most importantly, provide each student the opportunity of a one-on-one learning opportunity in which they can ask questions and clarify confusions.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
