Reflective practice reference behavior
My experience in nursing profession has helped me to equip myself with leadership skills
which have shaped my behavior and personality. I always uphold virtues such as honesty,
integrity, and visionary at the workplace. Such traits are important in providing quality services
to the patients. Besides, I am a team player, who is ready to work together with fellow colleagues
towards accomplishing the set goals of my healthcare institution (Cook, 2010).
Conclusion
My journey as a nurse has been faced with both success and challenges. Application of
effective leadership skills at workplace has helped me to overcome the challenges and
accomplish my roles as a nurse.
Also, having a systematic plan for my career has helped me to
remain focus and advance my nursing profession. My leadership skills have contributed to
positive change at my workplace by introducing new and innovative approaches towards taking
care of patients.
