Pampena 3 over a significant amount of land to obtain resources and territory, as well as to search for rangeland. The film portrays the geographical influences like the actual events in the way that Islam spreads to Morocco, Spain, and the Mediterranean in less than two centuries. (Smart and Denny) A difference between the film and the actual events is that the film does not specify why the city of Baghdad was constructed where it was. In the historic event, the city was constructed right along trade routes between major middle east countries and the Islamic Empire. This city was selected for construction where it was also because of the fertile lands that this location had to offer. In addition, aside from Córdoba, the film does not go in-depth into the spread of Islam in Spain. (Smart and Danny) Another important aspect of this film was the evolving structures of religion, philosophy, and social structures. When Muhammad was a child, oral stories and poets were fundamental to explain the tribe. (Grupper) This includes the observances of Islam, such as praying five times each day while facing Mecca. During Islam’s expansion, Christians were sometimes required to convert to Islam or face execution. Despite this reality, Muhammad strongly opposed the “convert or die” (Grupper) philosophy because he believed that tolerance in various religions was essential to maintaining Islam’s status as a religion with a positive outlook. This was in support of Muhammad’s envision of solidarity, a place where both Christians and Muslims could reside in the same town. (Grupper) Sadly, Muhammad died before he reaches Jerusalem in 632 CE, just eleven years after the start of the Hajj. He led Medina, the city in which he died, as well as a large chunk of Islam. (Grupper) At the time Muhammad died, a new leader was put into office. Unfortunately, this was the turning point for the fate of Islam beginning in the seventh century CE with the successor being Ali. (Grupper)

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
