This causes the gambler to begin losing money very rapidly, but they tend to not think about how much they lose as someone is loaning them more money as a “rescue fantasy” (Dell et al.). Gambling addiction quickly leads to bankruptcy because of this feeling of being invulnerable. The best solution to the issue of gambling addictions in Las Vegas’ homeless community is for people to aid with funding for more treatment centers for gambling addictions. Bo Bernhard and Sarah St. John’s report, “Problem Gambling and Treatment in Nevada,” discusses some of the options available for those seeking help for their gambling addictions. With the Las Vegas Problem Gambling Center being one of the only major treatment centers concentrated on treating gambling addictions, there is not enough help getting to those who need it. Although
