There are many patients that come to the unit in a mobility compromised state. Decreasing the number of falls in the unit by providing extra mobility assistance staff trained in patient positioning and movement will decrease the injuries to both patients and staff. The employee engagement outcome goal is to increase the number of Master’s degree prepared nurses in the Nuclear Medicine Department. Having nurses with higher education within the unit will improve the level of care for the patients being seen. It will also improve the overall knowledge base of the nurses within the unit. The unit will run more efficiently and will retain staff more readily. B1. One additional indicator that would be important for a nurse leader to monitor on a regular basis as part of the performance data scorecard would be that the cost efficiency of the unit would improve. Having a defined structure for employees to follow will help all employees understand more easily the strategic goals of the unit. The will help keep the goals at the forefront and will help make tracking those goals easier. By providing the strategic plan in an easy to read layout will help management in communicating the plan with their staff. The scorecard is an easy to read visual aid. It is a simple, clean, direct way of implementing the facility’s goals. The scorecard will help to keep the goals at the forefront, especially with regular reviews of the scorecard. Because the scorecard is easy to review, it makes it easy to track and achieve facility goals.
