that prohibit any aspect of racial discrimination, I think it is also prudent for the American society to have a candid conversation and create public awareness that racial discrimination needs to be an archaic attitude that could have been long buried. The major thorny issue of selective police brutality needs to be brought to an end (Tatchell 2018). Conclusion Civil Rights Movement was one of the historical movement that led to the second reconstruction of the country. It helped in achieving Civil Rights Act that eliminated discrimination and paved the way for other laws such as those governing voting rights, education, and housing rights. The tactics used during the movement need to be upgraded in the current racial conflict to meet the state of technological advancement. The use of twitter and other forms of global socialization technology has recently made the whole world solidarity with the black lives matter movement. The Civil Rights Movement can be said to be having an impact in today’s American society. It is shaping our political arena. It has also developed the American labor industry. It is, therefore, a good observation that American society is on the right path towards the agitation of civil rights and equality. The only adjustment needed in this journey is speed.
