and terrain. Another example of this is hurricanes and floods causing people to drown and be hit by objects with high force winds and to have structures like houses fall on humans. Instances like this you cannot hold anyone accountable for this because it is a natural thing that has happened and you cannot blame someone for drowned in a flash flood. Next, moral evil has the intent to cause harm to someone and with this, you can blame someone. Examples of moral evil would be murder, rape, genocide, and war. These are the worst kinds of evil that can be committed and have intent. Humans cannot live in a world and not make mistakes or cause harm if we look at history that is all we have done and the way Hick says is that we are free to make decisions and in this reality majority of decisions have consequences. Governments killing innocent people in different countries is moral evil because they will not be punished for what they are doing

because they look at is they are above the law and it should not be like that. We as humans are living in a world with a lot of moral evil in our society and we have police and laws but those, in general, do not stop people from evil and that is the biggest issue that we face. This comes into play with Hick’s theodicy with the problem with evil is that it will always be there and we can try and try to moral evil and crime but that is virtually impossible. Hick responds by stating that yes, we may be free and responsible for our thoughts and actions but we cannot be free in front of God himself. You cannot eliminate natural evil because they are unpredictable and they just happen. God created the world to be liveable but he knew that we would face things like this in our lives and there will be consequences for those who choose to sin and make bad decisions. What I learned when I was growing up is that God is forgiving but in general rape and first to second-degree murder should not be. This makes sense with “soul-making theodicy” because the occurrence of non-moral evil is necessary for us to be in a world like this. For humans to try to stop everything that happens is hard and this is the reason why God allows it so we can see it first hand and still be able to live a comfortable life and to be happy. This world is not perfect and In the Christian Doctrine, it does not dismiss evil but does have a purpose with god. What this says is even when god was around there was evil happening around him and he did not dismiss it or ignore it. The idea that God created the world as a “soul factory” is supported by the concept of free will and choice, and the measurement of choice within a reality with real choices and real consequences. We constantly make decisions and do not know if they are going to affect us unless there is a sense of remorse. we can’t guarantee if
