Learning is often self-initiated by adult learners. I believe this fits in with the above explanations. You are studying for a degree you want and need. It is fulfilling. Taking online classes here are great because I don’t have professors constantly reminding me of due dates. If I turn in something late I don’t get lectured or belittled.
